• Traditions: believing the team provides continuity from past to present and future
• Relevance: Believing what you do in the team is meaningful, significant and relevant
• Identity: Believing the team is distinctive and stands out from others
• Belonging: Believing you belong to and are included in an exclusive group
• Effectiveness: Believing the team is competent and capable of success

This approach is even more important as the Centre for Team Excellence explains that there is a compelling case for organisations to fundamentally reassess how they approach teams and leadership. Within organisations, fewer employees report being fully engaged than ever before.
